COUNTYBANK CONTRIBUTES TO BOWERS-RODGERS
Greenwood, S.C.-
Countybank foundation aides Bowers-Rodgers Home by making a donation
to support the children in the Greenwood community and surrounding areas.
Bowers-Rodgers Home
is a non-profit organization that provides 24 hour child abuse prevention
and emergency shelter to abused, abandoned and neglected children from
birth to age seventeen. The organization is dedicated to initiate, support
and promote community efforts to prevent child abuse. A home manager,
case manager, counselor, and program director participates in each child's
life in conjunction with the volunteers who chaperone, read and play
with the children.
"We have started
a new project, Buying Into Children's Future, by giving stock certificates
as special recognition to those who have gone the extra mile with donations,"
said Mike Phillips, executive director of Bowers Rodgers. "In essence
donors are buying into the future of children by enhancing their quality
of life."
Countybank began
its service to the Greenwood community in 1933, when it was founded
by a group of Greenwood businessmen. Today, Countybank is a full service,
integrated financial services provider with three full-service locations
and five automatic teller machines. In addition to a full array of traditional
banking products, Countybank is composed of separate divisions that
are positioned to meet specialized financial needs, including Countybank
Trust Services, Countybank Mortgage Services, Countybanc Investments,
Inc., and Countybanc Insurance, Inc. Each division is staffed by the
area's most sought-after professionals in their respective fields to
provide customers with the tools to achieve their financial goals.
