Who We Are Countybanc Insurance was founded in 1919 in Greenwood, SC, to service the risk management needs of the community.  Since that time, we have expanded to offer a full complement of products, including personal, health, commercial, life, group health and employee benefits insurance. Today, Countybanc Insurance is part of a complete family of financial services of banking, insurance, investments, mortgage and trust services.  Becoming a part of this financial network in 1998 allowed Countybanc Insurance to expand our services and offer customers access to a more complete portfolio of products.  And both companies — Countybank and Countybanc Insurance — have a long tradition of upholding the highest standards of service while offering proven expertise, responsiveness and reliability.

Countybank began its service to the Greenwood community in 1933 when it was founded by a group of local businessmen.  While the bank has evolved throughout its history, the core mission has never changed.  Countybank remains a financially sound, independent, community-owned institution that is focused on meeting the financial needs of the families and businesses of the counties it serves.
